Charter Review Committee Seeks Public Input
The Carson City Charter Review Committee is seeking public input as it begins is biennial work to review the City Charter. Click here to find more information and participate.
The Charter Review Committee is established in Sections 1.080, 1.090, and 1.100 of the Carson City Charter. The committee is required to meet “once every 2 years before the beginning of each regular session of the Legislature” to review and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on possible changes to the Charter to be presented to the Legislature. The Charter acts as the constitution of Carson City and can only be amended or repealed by act of the Nevada Legislature. As part of this review process, the Charter Review Committee is requesting input from the public and thanks you for your participation in the process.
